Theatre is all based on a simple concept, energy. Its neither about money, nor fame, nor survival. Story lines, emotions, self recognition, catharsis, and revolutions have all resulted from past productions, some good and some bad. In fact, society does not base its concept of what is successful on what was good, but rather on how much something was not bad.
It is here we stand. In an age of post-modern theatre we perform new and classic works together on the same stages. Our audiences are seeing an assortment of fragments. Characters, themes, and media from across the expanse of time are collected together. Modern theatre is struggling with a not-so-old problem. Why has our balance been upsetted? Where has our unity gone?
Will you be the one to stand with your fellows? Will you work together with Directors, Actors, Designers, Historians, Playwrights, and Artists to create something that is unified?
Help me breath life on the stage.
My current goal: To design for unknown and accomplished productions while achieving a harmonious unity on the stage.
