My Bio
Theatre is all based on a simple concept, energy. Its neither about money, nor fame, nor survival. Story lines, emotions, self recognition, catharsis, and revolutions have all resulted from past productions, some good and some bad. In fact, society does not base its concept of what is successful on what was good, but rather on how much something was not bad.

It is here we stand. In an age of post-modern theatre we perform new and classic works together on the same stages. Our audiences are seeing an assortment of fragments. Characters, themes, and media from across the expanse of time are collected together. Modern theatre is struggling with a not-so-old problem. Why has our balance been upsetted? Where has our unity gone?

Will you be the one to stand with your fellows? Will you work together with Directors, Actors, Designers, Historians, Playwrights, and Artists to create something that is unified?

Help me breath life on the stage.

My current goal: To design for unknown and accomplished productions while achieving a harmonious unity on the stage.

Hey Deviants, Welcome to my page. I do mostly Theatre Sound Designs with some old college Lighting and Scenic designs buried here too. So here's the deal. Theatre Design is a broad range of things. However our passions are spread all over the other categories on deviantART.com. I welcome you to re-submit your designs under the Theatre Design category. Let's create a basic system to find those in the Theatre community. So update your galleries and portfolios. Tell us about your work and ask for constructive criticism. Search for other pictures of theatre designs. Favorite their work so people looking at your favorites can find them as well.

Any one else really bummed out about Borders closing? Not that I wanted to start out on a sad note but thats all I have really thought about these past few nights. The days have been much different. Mostly chaos. So, Summer 2011. First half was in Charleston, SC working Spoleto Festival USA. Second half has been for Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in upstate NY, who are opening a new second stage. Same title for each company, two very different jobs. In the Fall, I will be designing for Yale Repertory Theatre, in February im off to Berkeley Repertory Theatre. Then back again to YRT to design a second show opening in April. Sometime in-between it al

Here is a quote from a woman you should all know. "We live in a changing world; man is whispering though space, soaring to the stars in ships, flinging miles of steel and glass into the air. Shall the theater continue to huddle in the confines of a painted box set? The movie, in their kaleidoscopic speed and juxtaposition of external objects and internal emotions are seeking to find visible and audible expression for the tempo and the psychology of out time. The stage too must experiment with ideas, with psychological relationships of men and women, with speech and rhythm forms, with dance and movement, with color and light--or it must and s
